A Chapter Closed

As I was packing my things from my apartment in Athens and took a good look at what this meant, reality slowly hit: I am forever DONE with undergrad.

You would think that this would hit me when...
I turned in my last final.
I bought my tassles.
I tried on my cap&gown.
I walked in the sanford stadium with all the other graduates.
I turned my tassle.
I took my graduation pictures.

I mean, it did hit me, but no where was the impact THIS severe. It was strange seeing my room empty. It was a huge slap on the face telling me to MOVE ON. But... I don't want to. Its so sad how badly I want to stay in undergrad. Its so sad how every little thing becomes sentimental. I hate that I'm like this.

I have exciting things in store for me this summer & fall. I'm going to love being in Korea this summer and heading up to Boston this fall. I've been wanting to do both of these things for a long time and trust me I'm so thrilled I get this oppotunity.

But right now, I just want to stay. When will this feeling pass away? I can't help but be depressed.

Four Weeks Left: Time to Leave with a BANG

Isn't it crazy how I only have four weeks left til finals and then undergrad will forever be over? It's so scary. Every day I am reminded constantly through all sorts of different outlets such as emails, events, friends or faculty. I think it hit me the hardest last week when I saw that a friend of mine was attending an event on facebook called "Last 30 nights of college". Intrigued, I clicked on the event to see what it was all about.

The following is the description of the event:
"5 weeks of school until finals...
30 Nights of Athens until finals...
53 Bars in the central Downtown area...
Join us for the LAST 30 NIGHTS OF COLLEGE
We will be downtown every single night until finals, black-out or sober. Meet up with us or follow us as we Tweet, blog and Facebook the chronicle of the greatest days of undergrad."

I can't help but think this plan is genious. We only have four weeks left. Why not make the most of it? While I do not drink, I do like going out to get loose, hang out with friends, and make memories. It's a great way to meet new people and catch up with old ones without having to deal with school stresses. How nice is that? Because I want to leave Athens with a bang, I'm going to have fun finishing up this school year. Here's my to-do list before finals:

1. Trey Songz Concert -- free for students! =]
2. Botanical Gardens --- go one last time before budget cuts will close the place down *BOOOO*
3. Baseball game --- i gotta watch the one against tech!
4. Give Blood -- after reading an article about it, I think its time for me to stop being a scardy-cat.
5. Tate Movie Theatre --- i love watching movies for a dollar
6. Go to a music concert here in athens
7. take pictures with all UGA bulldogs scattered on campus --- roomies? letss dooo ittt <3
8. rockclimb @ ramsey -- i have a feeling im gonna fail miserably @ this.

I honestly don't know how I'll fit all of this in four weeks. Well, more like three weeks. This upcoming week is gonna be part 1 of hell on earth (four tests next week, three of which will probably tear me up mercilessly).

My motto: "Study HARD, play HARD." After next week, I'm ready to finish undergrad off with a bang. I'm so stocked I cant wait. You guys are more than welcome to join me for the best last three weeks ever <3
